The Conservatory offers so much to see that it is only possible to describe it in segments. One attraction is the Orchid House.
I am constantly challenged by how many different varieties this one plant family includes. Here are just a few examples of this highly colorful and wildly divergent group of plants. The subtle shading of these white orchids offer a sophisticated alternative to the dramatic colors and forms of its relatives that follow.
Chrysanthemums and Astors
The Conservatory has a number of seasonal displays, and the focus during my visit highlighted the Chrysanthemum. The conservatory frequently display plants in manmade forms, such as the chrysanthemum mushrooms shown below. I also offer a couple of images here of mums and some pink asters.
